Nursery Workers Needed

We supply childcare for little ones age 6 weeks to kindergarten during the Sunday morning Worship Service.

Nursery is for children 6 weeks to 2 years old.

Tiny Tots is for ages 3 through kindergarten.

We could use more volunteers for this ministry to allow those in the Worship Service a time of reflection and attention to God’s word. We have several dedicated volunteers who are often covering multiple times a month. More loving volunteers are needed to serve every 6 weeks or so.

Please contact Debbie Summers if you are interested or would like to know more about this ministry.

Have you followed Christ in baptism yet?

We would like to encourage any believer who has not yet “walked in the waters of baptism” to take this step of obedience. The baptisms will take place in the first part of August, after the morning service, as we gather by the water for this public event. If you would like to participate, please let Pastor Jerry or Pastor James know so we can plan a Bible study on the subject.

Bibles for Believers Fund

We are starting a fund to be able to have a new study Bible available for new believers and growing saints within our church fellowship. We would like to have a few MacArthur Study Bibles on hand, ready to give to encourage their faith. The cost is about $25 per Bible.

If you’d like to contribute, make a note with your offering when you drop it in our offering box.

Church Resource Center

Pastors James and Jerry have made some great changes to our church library! Come on in and take a look. The resources are centered around biographies, theologies, parenting resources, counseling resources and Christian classics (like Pilgrim’s Progress).

These new titles are ready to be checked out!

There are some books we no longer need that are free to an interested home. You will find them on a table in the lobby. Help yourself.

L’Anse Baptist Ladies Missionary Group

Attention Ladies! The Ladies Missionary group has been meeting for decades for fellowship, encouragement, care for missionaries, projects to encourage people in times of need and for ways to say “we love you” to graduates at special events. It might be a ministry for you!

If you are interested, please talk to Mary Tervo, Sarah Bishop or Janet Gransell.

The Romans Road to Salvation

The Romans Road to Salvation

Pastor Jerry has provided this list of verses from the book of Romans for us to know and use when we are talking with people about how to be saved. All Christians should know these verses and be able to step through them and explain to someone how much God loves us. From God as the Creator to Christ as our Savior, know and use these verses.

  1. Romans 1:16 – There is good news!
  2. Romans 1:20 – You are accountable to your creator.
  3. Romans 3:20 – No one is good enough.
  4. Romans 3:23 – Everyone has sinned.
  5. Romans 5:8 – God showed His love in Jesus.
  6. Romans 5:12 – We sin and die because of Adam’s rebellion.
  7. Romans 6:23 – Sin earns death but God gives life freely.
  8. Romans 10:9-10 – Your response must be to acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Savior.
  9. Romans 10:13 – If you call on Christ, He will save you.
